Noc Chórów
Plac Jana Pawła II and other venues across Nowy Bytom, Ruda Śląska, Poland
held next dates not announced
Noc Chórów, the Night of Choirs, is a single-evening international choir festival in Nowy Bytom, a district of Ruda Śląska.
Its seventh edition ran on 30 May 2026 from 17:00 to 22:00, with 22 choirs singing in places where everyday life happens: the main square, a church and its parish garden, a music school, the city park, allotment gardens, a café, a villa and the foot of the Huta Pokój blast furnace. Audiences walk between venues instead of sitting in one hall. Children’s, youth, adult and senior choirs perform everything from early songs to contemporary pieces, jazz improvisation and sacred music; guests included the improvising Csíkszerda choir from Hungary and Seeing Voices Choir, which sings in Polish Sign Language. Open workshops, a cultural walk and unannounced vocal flash mobs run alongside the concerts, and the evening ends with everyone singing together on the square at 22:00.
Music for all: choral singing taken out of the concert hall into everyday places, open to listeners and singers alike, without barriers and with respect for diversity.
