WOMAD, short for World of Music, Arts and Dance, is a four-day festival that gathers artists from all over the globe in one place.
Founded by Peter Gabriel, it took up a new home at Neston Park in 2026, an estate in North Wiltshire near Real World Studios, and the site lists a return there in 2027. Beside the music stages, the programme has more than 200 free workshops led by visiting musicians and dancers, artists cooking dishes from home, talks and debates in the World of Words, a World of Children and contemporary art. Camping in the general and family campsites is free with a three- or four-day ticket, and the festival describes itself as independent, with bars on site.
A shared ground for the world’s cultures, built on mutual respect and on discovering music you have never heard before.
