Hotel Forum, Kraków (plus venues across Warsaw), Poland
happening now day 6 of 10 zł 60–1,200
Unsound is a festival of contemporary, experimental and leftfield music, founded in the basements of Kraków in 2003 and since staged in cities around the world.
Its 2026 edition, themed SOFT POWER, is the first to be split across two Polish cities: Warsaw from 2 to 6 October and Kraków from 8 to 11 October, with no performance repeated between them. An eight-hour Unsound Train, sold on a separate ticket, links the two on 7 October with live sets, a DJ carriage and a stop in Kielce. Concerts take place in concert halls, the Warsaw Philharmonic and theatres, while Kraków’s late club nights fill Hotel Forum, the brutalist hotel above the Vistula. A discourse programme of free talks, presentations and workshops runs in both cities.
Experimental music treated as a form of inquiry, with commissioned new work and unexpected spaces at the centre of each themed edition.
