Bucht der Träumer*
12–16 August 2027ten years
Helenesee, Frankfurt (Oder), Brandenburg, Germany
tickets on sale €240–300
Bucht der Träumer* takes over the shore of Helenesee, a flooded former open-cast mine near Frankfurt (Oder), about an hour east of Berlin, for five days each August.
The site splits in two. Umbria, in the forest to the south, holds the rave floors, with techno, house, psytrance and the wider Berlin club sound running day and night. Lumina, to the north, is slower: around sixty workshops, talks on politics and sexuality, a circus tent, cabaret, a labyrinth and a sauna that stays lit throughout. Guests can swim in the lake. Entry is from age 21, photos are banned on the floors, and an awareness and psycare team works around the clock. A reduced ticket exists for low earners.
Excess and rest side by side, held together by a strong awareness culture.
